Reinforcing Security with Safe and Den
Safe is more than an industry-leading multisig wallet provider: they’re the engine behind Safe{Core} – an open-source stack for smart accounts. Den are Safe Guardians, which means they contribute to Safe’s ecosystem by driving ecosystem adoption. Safe builds multisig wallet technology, Den helps integrate it.
Today, Den completed Safe’s integration on Ronin. That means multisig users now benefit from stronger security, can batch multiple transactions, and will see a fresh UI on the multisig front-end. Keep an eye out for even more features coming soon – like support for Mavis Market and App.axie. That means anyone will soon be able to trade NFTs from their multisig wallets!
What is a multisignature wallet? In general, a multisignature wallet requires two or more signatures to confirm transactions. Think of it like a shared wallet – no single person has 100% control. This kind of arrangement reinforces security because it’s harder for bad actors to compromise multiple addresses than just one. Many teams use multisig wallets to manage large holdings like treasury funds. Note that single-signature vaults are also available.
What does this mean for existing Multisig Users?
No action is required for most existing users. That’s because existing Safes are indexed in the new deployment by Den. However, some users may have pending transactions awaiting signatures. If that’s the case for you, here are two ways you can complete those transactions:
Option 1: Create a new Transaction using the new multisig Safe
Option 2: Access the old multisig here and sign the pending transaction
Pro-tip: Look for the new Dark Mode feature on your Safe account.
