Key Points
On July 27th, Mavis Market hosted Ronin’s first-ever non-Axie NFT mint and sold out 3,000 CyberKongz Genkai NFTs priced at 0.25 ETH in under an hour. This was deemed by many to be “The Smoothest Mint of All Time.”
During the mint, Ronin processed 1.5K successful transactions within three minutes while daily active addresses almost doubled over three days. Ronin’s infrastructure works under pressure, and feedback about the mint was overwhelmingly positive from the Ronin, Axie, and CyberKongz community.

On July 27th, Ronin hosted its first-ever non-Axie NFT mint: the CyberKongz Genkai collection. In under an hour, the entire Ronin-based supply of 3,000 Genkai had minted at the price of 0.25 ETH by over a thousand unique owners! This was possible because of the work we – and our partners – did behind the scenes, and strengthened our conviction in Ronin’s ability to become a preferred launchpad for new projects and NFT collections. Here’s how we pulled off the smoothest mint of all time:
Genkai Mint Overview
At 12pm EST on July 27th, the CyberKongz Genkai public mint on Ronin went live. By 1pm – one hour later – the collection had minted out. New Genkai adopters were calling it the smoothest mint of all time! 3,000 Genkai. Over 1,200 Owners. 200,000 RON total volume…
All on Mavis Market.
This was more than a successful mint: it was the Mavis Market’s first Launchpad event, and the union of two iconic sister-communities during the depths of a bear market. Everything came together when it mattered most: the Ronin smart contract executed with precision, users had an intuitive experience minting their NFTs, the trait randomization powered by Ronin’s VRF even worked so well we’ve now made it accessible to any and all third-party developers. The Genkai mint on Ronin drew in $1.4M USD, which our teams can now use to keep building for the communities that believe in our shared vision.
Ronin Works Under Pressure
During this first-ever mint for Mavis Market, the Ronin blockchain performed with exceptional strength and precision. Our front and back ends handled the surge in transaction volume with ease thanks to the work of our world-class engineering team. Ronin processed 1.5K successful transactions within three minutes while daily active addresses almost doubled over three days – Ronin’s infrastructure works under pressure. Ronin has always been a blockchain optimized for fast gaming transactions. Now, it’s also a blockchain for launching NFT collections.
Since Ronin’s launch in 2021, we’ve been on a mission to spread digital property rights to users of the internet. Along the way, we’ve faced challenges and emerged battle-tested. We’ve seen other NFT launchpads buckle under heavy loads, or experience major delays during critical periods of high demand. That’s why we’re highlighting Ronin’s performance during the Genkai mint today: it was the smoothest mint of all time, and there are more mints to come.
What did the Community Say?
After the Genkai mint, praise for Ronin was unanimous. Check out a snapshot of the feedback we gathered from X (formerly Twitter) and Discord servers after the mint.

Final Thoughts
“The Smoothest Mint of All Time…” It’s great to hear this kind of feedback in the depths of a bear market. However, we know that this is just the beginning of Ronin’s journey as a launchpad for non-Axie projects and creators – we’re going to keep pushing forward. Thank you to the CyberKongz team for being part of this success with us, and to our stalwart community that has stood by our side from the start. It’s time to get back to work.
