What this means for users: No action required. Everything will continue to work as usual including games, apps, and your Ronin Wallet.
Ronin’s Homecoming to Ethereum is almost here. Today, the Saigon Testnet completed its migration to Optimism. If everything goes according to plan, mainnet will follow suit in the coming months. Here’s what’s happening:
Mainnet Migration Timeline
Last August, we set Q1-Q2 as a target to complete the mainnet migration. That timeline is still on track. This will make Ronin transactions faster and rewards for builders fairer while inheriting Ethereum’s security. The Ronin Ecosystem Team is planning to host a town hall to discuss what this means in more detail. Stay tuned for more info!
Reminder to Builders
If you plan to run a Testnet Node, you’ll need to prepare your infrastructure to run reth and op-node. Check out the fresh, downloadable state snapshot before launching your L2 node to before resuming any Saigon RPC operations. See more details here.
