The Ronin Bridge <> Chainlink CCIP migration is complete!
Bridge YOUR tokens with unparalleled cross-chain security ⚔️
Key Points
The Ronin Bridge <> Chainlink CCIP migration is complete! All tokens previously held on the deprecated Ronin Bridge, representing an estimated $450M+ in TVL, are now on CCIP.
Bridge with CCIP now: anyone can transfer tokens to and from Ronin using the Ronin Bridge app – powered by Chainlink CCIP. Bridge AXS, APRS, PIXEL, LUA, LUAUSD, ANIMA, SLP, YGG, BANANA, USDC, WETH, and WBTC.
New WBTC Contract is LIVE: CCIP supports bridging WBTC between Ronin <> Ethereum using the smart contract address below. Swap your WBTC 1:1 from the old contract to the new one in order to bridge WBTC. There is no deadline to swap, and no user action required unless you’re already holding WBTC.
The Ronin Bridge <> Chainlink CCIP migration is complete! Last year, Ronin Validators voted to adopt Chainlink CCIP to serve as our network’s canonical cross-chain infrastructure. Chainlink won out with 10 votes, while LayerZero came in second with 3 votes, and Axelar third with 0 votes.
Today, all tokens previously held on the deprecated Ronin Bridge are now on CCIP. This marks the final step in the deprecated bridge’s migration, and the beginning of a new era in bridge security on Ronin. Here’s what’s happening:
Unparalleled cross-chain bridge security on Ronin
Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interopability Protocol (CCIP) is the industry-leading bridging solution with a proven track record, powered by the same decentralized infrastructure that has secured $75B+ in DeFi TVL at its peak and enabled over $20 trillion in onchain transaction value. Here’s what CCIP brings to Ronin:
Defense-in-depth security
CCIP’s consensus layer is powered by Chainlink Decentralized Oracle Networks (DONs). Multiple DONs, each secured by a collection of high-quality oracle node operators, validate each CCIP transfer along with an independent Risk Management Network that monitors and validates CCIP’s proper operation. More decentralization, stronger security.
Secure token transfers
CCIP simplifies cross-chain token transfers through the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard, which enables new and existing tokens to become instantly cross-chain transferable without imposing vendor lock-in on token issuers in minutes. CCIP token transfers also feature configurable rate limits and reliability features like Smart Execution that help ensure reliable transaction execution on the destination chain – regardless of network congestion. Seamless, smooth, and secure.
Future-proofed network effects
CCIP powers a growing number of interconnected blockchains, and enables permissionless onboarding of new tokens. This makes it easier for developers to join our movement, and brings new opportunities to Ronin builders and communities. More lanes to more chains are coming soon.
Wondering why the deprecated Ronin Bridge tab is still visible? That’s because a handful of users have submitted withdrawal requests but haven’t claimed their tokens on Ethereum. If you have a pending withdrawal on the legacy Ronin Bridge, follow these instructions to complete it.
How to bridge with CCIP
Step 1: Go to the Ronin Bridge app and connect your Ronin Wallet
Step 2: Select your origin and destination chains
Step 3: Find the token you’d like to bridge
Step 4: Choose the token with which you’d like to pay the fee
Step 5: Bridge your tokens!
Here are the tokens available for bridging with CCIP: WETH, USDC, AXS, SLP, PIXEL, APRS, ANIMA, LUA, LUAUSD, YGG, BANANA, and WBTC.
“We’re pleased to see Ronin successfully migrate to Chainlink CCIP as their canonical cross-chain infrastructure. By choosing CCIP, Ronin is adopting best-in-class security for cross-chain interoperability. CCIP will help grow the Ronin ecosystem by enabling developers to build novel, cross-chain apps on Ronin and allowing users to bring their assets to Ronin from across the multi-chain ecosystem.”
—Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs.
“Migrating to Chainlink CCIP is a major unlock for Ronin as we scale into the most accessible and secure gaming and consumer chain in Web3. Developers get cross-chain infrastructure to build fast and secure, while users can easily bridge assets across the multi-chain ecosystem, opening the door to the next generation of games and apps.”
—Trung Nguyen, CEO and Co-Founder of Sky Mavis.
New WBTC Contract is LIVE
Calling all WBTC holders! CCIP supports bridging WBTC between Ronin <> Ethereum using a new smart contract address. That means you’ll need to swap your WBTC 1:1 from the old contract to the new one if you’d like to bridge WBTC from Ronin to Ethereum. There is no deadline to swap.
New Contract Address: 0xca3eb64f3dfd7861c76070e3d1492ee5ee20cdc3
Old Contract Address: 0x7e73630f81647bcfd7b1f2c04c1c662d17d4577e
Migration Timeline Overview

Final Thoughts
Ronin is evolving into a full-fledged consumer chain where games, social dApps, and DeFi are just a few clicks away from each other. Leaders from Coinbase to Compound to Chainlink have joined our movement – and this is just the beginning. The CCIP migration brings unparalleled security to our network while opening new portals to more ecosystems. Let’s keep pushing.
