How to Play Cambria
RONers, your mission is simple: finish the season with as many Coins as possible. The more Coins you end up with, the more USDC rewards you’ll take home. Get Coins by defeating monsters, gathering resources, or by cashing in Artifacts, Curios and Gems at the Royal Treasury.
Every player contributes to the on-chain prize pools through in-game actions, which means total rewards will grow throughout the season. More players, more competition, more rewards. There are also individual prize pools for different types of players, as well as an opportunity to stack Cambria airdrop points with Royal Favor.
Royal Favor is a point system that tracks your influence in Cambria. Stack enough Royal Favor and you’ll start receiving loot crates as Bribes. Open these in the game lobby to claim Trinkets — ie. Cambria airdrop points — and Land Raffle Tickets for the game’s upcoming Land NFT sale! Here’s how you can get started:

Step 2: Mint at least one Royal Charter for 56 RON and unlock access to in-game earning features as well as daily Energy regeneration. Think of Royal Charters as all-access Battle Passes.
Step 3: Play the game, stack rewards, and consider adopting one of the three strategies outlined below
Energy is essential to play Cambria, and it drains when you’re outside safe zones. Higher-tier regions also burn Energy faster. However, higher-tier regions offer more potential rewards. Buy an Energy Orbs to restore 100,000 Energy in seconds.
Three Strategies to Earn Rewards in Cambria S2
Strategy 1: Become a Paymaster — Passive Role
Why: Accumulate rewards without putting in much work
How to get started: Deposit a Royal Charter in the Syndicate Vault to become a Paymaster
Benefits: Earn taxes every time a solo player buys a new Royal Charter or cashes-in their loot
Challenges: Paymasters only profit from solo player actions and successes. If Guilds dominate solo players on the leaderboard, Guilds will earn a larger share of the main prize pool — and Paymasters’ payouts will decline
Ideal player archetype: Cold-blooded speculators. Profit from the chaos while everyone else dukes it out amongst themselves
Strategy 2: Become a Viceroy or Guild Leader — Active Role
Why: Maximize your rewards by outcompeting other players and guilds
How to get started: Deposit 10 or more Royal Charters or hold a Cambria Founder NFT to become a Viceroy
Benefits: Create a guild and earn rewards. Sponsor free-to-play players and get a cut of their winnings. Set custom split percentages on Guild Chests, and score earning multipliers when your guild climbs the leaderboard
Challenges: This is an active role that requires a good understanding of Cambria — and guildmates you can trust!
Ideal player archetype: Experienced Web3 gamers. Viceroys and Guild Leaders may have to log more gameplay hours than Paymasters, but they can also earn more rewards by managing their resources within a guild
Strategy 3: Forge your path as a solo player — Active Role
Why: Take advantage of your personal strengths to stack rewards
How to get started: Mint a Royal Charter and jump into the game
Benefits: Pool your abilities with guildmates, build yourself up as a PvP specialist, or farm specific skills that make you more competitive today and in future seasons.
Challenges: You’ll have to choose a good guild or at least rack up more victories than losses in-game in order to come out ahead.
Ideal player archetype: Motivated degens. Solo players are competing in a zero-sum game against each other, which means not everyone can be a winner in Cambria.
There are separate prize pools for guilds, solo players, and even creators. However, Paymasters and Viceroys are in direct competition for shares of the main prize pool. When solo players do well, Paymasters’ share gets bigger. When Guilds do well, Viceroys’ share gets bigger.
