Fishing Frenzy Chapter 2 has begun! Load-up your bait, sharpen your sushi knives, and take a deep breath before diving into Fishing Frenzy’s biggest update since launch. The game with 10M installs and $150K in rewards distributed to-date has a flurry of new features. Here’s what’s happening:
What’s new in Chapter 2?
There are few teams working on the kinds of features that went LIVE in Fishing Frenzy today. Player reputation now powers the game’s economy via Karma and $FISH. This makes it easier than ever to direct rewards to the game’s most passionate players, which means fewer bots and juicier opportunities for everyone. Here’s an overview of what else is new:

Introducing xFISH
This is a new spend-only, non-tradeable reward token. Earn it, stake it, dive with it, or convert it to onchain $FISH for a fee. Explore New Event and Permanent Zones
These new areas are stocked with new kinds of fish. However, Event Zones are only available during special events while Permanent Zones require unlocking. Here’s how they work:
In Event Zones, you can catch limited-time fish and acquire resources required to get Pets and Upgrade Points in the Event Store. However, you can only place fish caught from Event Zones in your Aquarium while the event is ongoing!
In Permanent Zones like the new Cavern, you can catch a default set of fish and unlock even more fish with fossils. Reach the required Fishing Levels to get access to each Permanent Zone!
Fossils are LIVE in Fishing Frenzy
Fossils unlock Permanent Zones, and Permanent Zones unlock new fish. That means you need fossils to get new fish. Acquire fossils by spinning the Pearl and Daily Free Wheels, diving with Gold, or catching them with specific NFT rods. Here are your chances of getting rare fossils when you fish for them:
• Common: 45%
• Rare: 30%
• Epic: 20%
• Legendary: 4.9%
• Mythic: 0.1%
Pro-tip: Fossil Fishing also has a Mythic Pity system. The 300th fossil you catch is guaranteed to be Mythic. Note that x5 and x20 fishing will also increase the pity given and the amount required.
